Community Voice Feedback

Thank You to Our ERF Community

Thank you once again to everyone who took part in our recent Community Voice event in Harlow. Your enthusiasm, openness and honest feedback made the session truly meaningful. We were inspired by the wide range of perspectives shared and are especially pleased that many of you felt the event was inclusive, collaborative and rooted in a genuine sense of unity and shared purpose.

We have carefully reviewed and brought together the ideas, suggestions and concerns you raised.

Below is a summary of what you told us… and how we are responding.

You Said

You asked for:

  • Essex County Council Commissioners to attend Community Voice events so they can hear directly from the community

  • Clearer and more consistent communication between Essex Recovery Foundation and the community, including updates on previous issues at the start of each session

  • Stronger collaboration across Public Health and Wellbeing services

  • Greater representation of staff with lived experience within recovery services

  • Translated flyers, surveys and information to better engage Essex’s diverse communities

  • New podcast ideas, including Incredible Lives and Recovery Through Nature

Our Actions

In response:

  • We have formally invited Essex County Council’s Commissioners to attend the next Community Voice event

  • We will improve clarity and transparency around key updates and changes through our newsletter

  • A standing agenda item, “Progress Update,” will be included at all future Community Voice events

We are actively working through the remaining recommendations and look forward to sharing further updates with you soon.

If you have any questions or would like to continue the conversation, please don’t hesitate to contact us at
