The festival that puts your recovery first

This festival is brought to you by Essex Recovery Foundation, a not-for-profit dedicated to creating safe and vibrant spaces for people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

Created by people with a lived experience of addiction, this festival is a celebration of what it means to reclaim your life with passion and purpose. It shines a light on the power of music to heal, the spark of creativity to inspire, and the deep connections that remind us that we are never alone on our journey.

Anyone bringing alcohol or drugs to the festival or presenting as under the influence may be asked to leave.

  • Unfortunately, the festival is an adults-only event at this time. However, we may consider welcoming children at future events.

  • No! This festival is 100% open to everyone who wants to experience the fun of a festival without substances.

  • At Essex Recovery Festival, we are committed to making our event as accessible as possible for all attendees. While we have implemented several measures to improve access, we acknowledge that some aspects of the festival environment may present challenges. Below is an outline of the accessibility features and considerations in place:

    Accessible Tickets

    • We offer accessible tickets, which includes a free carer ticket where required.

    • If you need a carer ticket, please contact us in advance via email (festival@essexrecoveryfoundation.org) with proof of eligibility.

    Parking & Entry

    • Disabled parking is located close to the entrance for ease of access.

    • Step-free access is available via ramps leading to the buildings and elevated DJ marquee.

    Access to Facilities & Stage

    • There is a designated wheelchair-accessible viewing area near the stage.

    • Cable runs are managed to minimize obstructions, with ramps providing access where necessary.

    • Accessible toilets will be available on-site.

    Ground Conditions & Weather Considerations

    • The festival takes place on soft ground, which may become difficult for some wheelchairs to manoeuvre, particularly in adverse weather conditions.

    • We advise bringing appropriate mobility aids if needed and checking the weather forecast before attending.

If you have a disability and are planning on attending, we encourage you to contact us in advance so that we can provide specific guidance about the activities on offer.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email: festival@essexrecoveryfoundation.org
