Your stories, experiences and creativity could help shape a new theatre show about addiction and recovery.

SPIT Theatre will be visiting all our Recovery Space venues to run creative workshops as part of the development of a new Message in a Bottle show.

Join SPIT Theatre at MERCURY THEATRE on 16th October for a creative workshop exploring drama, poetry, storytelling and more. Share your voice, get creative and help shape a new play about addiction and recovery.

Everyone is welcome and it’s an opportunity to share your voice, get creative and be part of a play inspired by the experiences and messages of our recovery community.

Through the first round of the Essex Recovery Fund, Harry from SPIT Theatre received funding to build on the original Message in a Bottle project and create this new show with our community. The production will tour theatres, helping us make recovery visible, challenge perceptions and deepen understanding of addiction and recovery.
