At the centre of Essex Recovery Festival is the incredible community - a group of people who all collectively understand and support your recovery.

That’s why we want to create loads of opportunities across the weekend for people to come together, to meet, and to spread joy. Whether you’ve come alone, or you’ve brought your friends, there’s always space to meet new people at the Essex Recovery Festival.

Your 2026 Community Meet-Ups

  • Campfire Reflections

    End your day at Essex Recovery Festival at the campfire. Enjoy some toasted marshmallows, acoustic songs, gratitude sharing, storytelling and recovery reflections.

  • Solo Meet-Ups

    Finding some friendly faces can make a huge difference to your experience when you’re attending a festival on your own. Come along to our meet-ups on Friday evening and Saturday morning for solo-travellers.

  • Opening Ceremony

    Friday evening always kicks off with an opening ceremony. Set up your tent, and unpack your bags - it’s time to officially start your festival experience!

  • Fellowship meetings

    We’re pleased to be joined by AA, NA, CA, CODA, Crystal Meth Anonymous and Al-Anon who will be running fellowship meetings on Saturday.

  • Chill-Out Tent

    If you need to take some time away from the festival, our Chill-Out Tent creates a space for you to be calm, quiet and still. We also have dedicated ‘Chill Socials’ at 10pm on Saturday for anybody who wants a quieter evening.

  • The Forest Sauna

    NEW FOR 2026

    Meet some like-minded sauna-lovers at our outdoor forest spa. Relax and recharge at our woodland retreat, open on Friday and Saturday.

  • Closing Circle

    NEW FOR 2026

    With the beautiful Recovery Choir providing some harmonious tunes to close the weekend, we invite all festival-goers to join us on Sunday afternoon for a Closing Circle: time to reflect, share, celebrate and finally, say goodbye (until next year, of course!)

  • Pool Party

    OPEN ALL DAY

    You all loved our pool sessions in 2025, so we’re thrilled to share that the pool will be open across the entire weekend! We’ll also be joined by Sober Events UK who will be hosting an epic pool takeover on Saturday afternoon!
