  • Where is the Essex Recovery Festival?

    Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning, Manor Road, Lambourne End, Essex, RM4 1NB

  • How much are tickets?

    Weekend tickets are £50 per person including camping and activities. Day tickets are £20 per person including activities.

  • Can I buy a day ticket?

    Yes, day tickets are available for Saturday only and do not include camping. These cost £20 per person and include all activities and workshops on the Saturday.

  • Will there be parking available?

    There will be limited parking on site available for £15 per vehicle. Where possible, please use public transport. A shuttle bus will be available to-and-from the site from Grange Hill Station at a charge of £5 per person. Parking tickets will be available to purchase nearer the time.

  • Where is the nearest train station?

    The nearest train station is Grange Hill Tube which is 2 miles from Lambourne End. There will be a shuttle bus to-and-from the station for £5 per person.

  • Do you do a group discount?

    We are running this festival as cost-effectively as possible, and this is reflected in the ticket price so we are not able to offer group discounts.

  • Can I bring children?

    As this is our first year, we have decided to run the festival as adults only while we find our feet. This may change in the future, but the 2024 festival is just for us grown-up kids.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    As part of the Lambourne End site is a working farm, we kindly request that you leave your lovable pooches at home. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are of course permitted.

  • Will there be camping?

    Yes! Camping is included in the price of a weekend ticket.

  • What do I need to bring?

    Please wear weather-appropriate clothing but be sure to bring a waterproof just in case. A tent and a sleeping bag if you are camping, money if you are spending and a smile regardless of your mood.

  • Is there electricity on site?

    There is limited electricity available on-site but mobile phones can be charged in the Blue Hut/Information point.

  • Will there be showers?

    Showers are available in the main buildings and will operate on a first-come-first-serve queue system (temperature not guaranteed).

  • How accessible is the site?

    Lambourne End is an easily accessible site and hosts events all year round for those less able-bodied. However, paths can get muddy and the woodland area can be rough going but the majority of the site is grass fields and should present little difficulty.

  • Is re-entry allowed?

    Once you have registered and collected your wristband, you will be permitted to leave the site and return.

  • I am not in recovery, can I still attend?

    Essex Recovery Festival is open to anyone interested in recovery or sober living. We welcome those that don’t identify as being in recovery or sober but ask that you respect the fact that this is a sober festival and alcohol and illicit drugs are not permitted on site. Anyone bringing alcohol or drugs to the festival or presenting as under the influence may be asked to leave.

  • What food will be available?

    We have secured a wide range of food options for festival goers including a Caribbean kitchen, gourmet pizzas, burgers, fish & chips, Thai curries, cakes, cookies, and more. We also have a breakfast stall for all your morning munch!

  • Will there be vegetarian/vegan options?

    All of our vendors have confirmed that they have vegetarian/vegan options available

  • Can I bring my own food?

    We know times are hard with the cost-of-living crisis and we want people to feel comfortable and relaxed. If you would like to bring your food, you are free to do so but we would encourage you to partake of the food available from our wonderful vendors if you are able, at least once.

  • Can I bring my own soft drinks?

    We are operating Essex Recovery Festival with a no-glass policy as the site is a working farm and outdoor centre year-round. If you would like to bring your own soft drinks you may do so. We will have an alcohol-free bar selling a world-class array of mocktails, soft drinks, and other alcohol-free goodies. There will also be coffee and teas available from other vendors. We would encourage you to bring plenty of water with you as temperatures could be high.

  • Is there a dress code?

    It’s a festival! Go nuts but keep it decent. Birthday suits may be photographed and used for blackmail.

  • What time does the music start/stop?

    The Mainstage and Dance tent kick off at 7pm – 10pm on Friday and 12:30 – 10pm on Saturday.

  • I have an activity I'd like to run. Is this possible?

    We do have a small amount of limited space available. Please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

  • I have a stall I'd like to hold. Is this possible?

  • Are you looking for volunteers?

    Yes! We are looking for volunteers to come and be a part of the weekend and places will be given on a first-come-first-served basis. Ideally, you need to be able to be on site from Friday lunchtime to Sunday evening and you will be part of the wider volunteer crew.
