A 7-week accredited programme for people in recovery who are looking to build confidence and take steps towards work or volunteering.
Starting on Thursday 8 October, this programme is facilitated by Chelmsford College and has been tailored specifically for people in recovery.
The course will help participants develop practical employability skills, build confidence and identify their strengths, while also supporting personal wellbeing and progression.
What the course covers
Across the seven weeks, participants will explore:
Reflecting on progress and setting personal goals
Building confidence when working with others
Communication and teamwork
Finding suitable job and volunteering opportunities
Writing CVs, cover letters and job applications
Identifying and communicating personal strengths and skills
Workplace health and safety
Practical numeracy for everyday workplace tasks
Mental health, self-care and tools to support personal wellbeing
A counsellor will also support participants to explore mental health, develop self-care routines and build practical tools to support their personal journey.

Runs: Every Thursday for 7 weeks, until Thursday 19 November
