This is what life in recovery looks like

Created by people in recovery

Essex Recovery Festival was created by people with lived experience of addiction who are passionate about creating safe, fun and vibrant spaces which are free from drugs and alcohol.

Our aim is to bring people together to connect and experience the joy of life. We want to encourage people to prioritise their wellbeing, in both mind and body, and leave our festival feeling like a better, more enriched version of themselves.

 FAQs

  • Of course! This event is open to everyone. We just ask that all attendees are committed to ensuring that this festival is free from drugs and alcohol.

  • Weekend tickets are £50 per person including camping and activities. Day tickets are £20 per person including activities.

  • As this is our first year, we have decided to run the festival as adults only while we find our feet. This may change in the future, but the 2024 festival is just for us grown-up kids.

  • As part of the Lambourne End site is a working farm, we kindly request that you leave your lovable pooches at home. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are of course permitted.

  • Lambourne End is an easily accessible site and hosts events all year round for those less able-bodied. However, paths can get muddy and the woodland area can be rough going but the majority of the site is grass fields and should present little difficulty.

  • We have secured a wide range of food options for festival goers including a Caribbean kitchen, gourmet pizzas, burgers, fish & chips, Thai curries, cakes, cookies, and breakfast stall.

We also have an alcohol-free bar selling a world-class array of mocktails, soft drinks, and other alcohol-free goodies. Coffee and teas will be available from our vendors.

  • We know times are hard with the cost-of-living crisis and we want people to feel comfortable and relaxed. If you would like to bring your own food and soft drinks, you are free to do so but we would encourage you to partake of the food and drink available from our wonderful vendors if you are able, at least once.
